Reaper & Slayer Tasks

XP/hr tests were done using Torva armour, the best-in-slot weapon (noxious scythe or drygore), a royal cannon where permitted, a full Slayer helm, Slayer beacon, super antifire potions when needed and overloads.

Most slayer tasks have multiple locations. You can access different locations by using the ::s (monster) 1/2/3/4/etc. command. Locations for each monster are listed in ::slayer list.

Block list overview

You choose which Slayer tasks to block based on how often you get them (weighting), your personal preference, prayer sustain needs, and XP/hr rates.

Slayer preset

A good preset speeds up your Slayer tasks. Equip these items if you own them or aim to unlock them:

Essential supplies:

• Overloads, prayer renewals, prayer pots or super restores, super antifire (or a dragonfire shield): Potions can be expensive, and using them may not be viable early-game (especially on ironman accounts). They will however boost your combat and prayer uptime.
• Royal cannon + cannonballs: Increase kill speeds. You can unlock cannons from the Artisans’ Workshop.

Weapon choices:

• Drygore rapier (or chaotic rapier): Best stab DPS for small to medium monsters.
• Noxious scythe: Delivers 3-tile hits on large monsters (not ideal on 2-hit creatures).
• Drygore Mace: Strong crush DPS for kalphites and waterfiends if you lack a scythe.

Gear boosts:

• Demonhorn necklace/Saradomin’s whisper: Swap based on prayer restoration needs.
• Full slayer helmet
• Slayer beacon, seedicide, herbicide, ash sanctifier, ecoplasmator, bonecrusher, charming imp, coin magnet. Combine them for maximum QoL gains with the goblin tinkerer.
• BIS cape: Choose your highest-tier cape or wear a Slayer cape for extra casket drop chance (or a 120 Prayer cape for double bury XP).
• Best Melee Armour: Bandos, Torva, Vanguard, or Battle-mage—pick what balances DPS and prayer bonus.
• Steadfast boots; ****next best is Torva boots
• Ring of wealth (i) / Berserker ring (i): Imbue with reaper points at Death for permanent bonuses; pick based on drop-table needs

Ranged Alternative: Some Magic-based tasks can be cheaper with a bow. A noxious or zaryte bow often nets 200,000–300,000 XP/hr less than top-tier melee (e.g., scythe + rapier).
