Rumors and legendary fishing spots
Talk to the legendary fisherman in the Fishing Guild to get a rumor. Each rumor points you to a specific fish and location. Fish at the right spot until a legendary fishing spot appears.
Key Mechanics:
- Spawn timing: Legendary spots appear randomly after about 20 minutes of fishing in the correct area.
- Increased chance: The more you fish, the more likely the spot will appear. Stay active to make progress.
- Spot duration: Once a legendary spot spawns, it lasts for 3 minutes. Don’t miss it!
- Catch and return: Catch the fish at the spot, then bring it back to the legendary fisherman for a reward.

When fishing for cavefish and rocktails in the Living Rock Caverns, living rock creatures will attack you. Skillers can stand at the ::rok teleport spot for 20 minutes to let the aggro timer expire, or bring a combat account to keep the monsters off them while fishing.
Each successful rumor grants one reward. This will either be a piece of the fishing outfit or a tackle box.

Earned across different rumors, the full set consists of:
- Fishing hat
- Fishing jacket
- Fishing waders
- Fishing boots
Wearing the full outfit boosts your Fishing XP. If you lose an outfit piece, speak to the legendary fisherman to reclaim them.
📦 Tackle boxes:
Tackle boxes store bait and fish. Each one can hold up to 4 types of bait and 4 types of raw fish. They automatically use bait and support bank presets.
